Sabina Shrestha, a senior captain at Yeti Airlines, the leading domestic airlines of Nepal, has recently acquired her Instructor Pilot License.
Shrestha has now become the first woman pilot instructor in Nepal's 60 years of aviation history, according to a press release issued by the airlines.
Though she started flying on the Twin Otter aircraft, she has got the experience of flying different aircraft, including Saab 340 and Jet-stream 4.
She has received the Instructor Pilot license on Jet-stream 4.
A mother of a four-year-old daughter, Shrestha has already flown 10,000 hours in the sky during her 16 year-long career.
"My lifelong dream was always to fly professionally," Sabina said, adding she got inspiration and encouragement to fly from her mother, who showed her the difference between flying and other career options.
After completing her Class 12 at Shivapati Inter College in New Delhi, she received one-year pilot training from Texas, US.
