Nepal's Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Monday said India-Nepal relations were moving to newer heights with high-level visits from both countries.
Speaking to media persons here ahead of the 5th India-Nepal Joint Commission meeting, Gyawali said prime ministers of both countries have clear blue prints regarding the future course of bilateral actions.
India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to visit Nepal this week to participate in the fifth meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission from August 21 to 22. Jaishankar will co-chair the meeting with Gyawali.
Gyawali said the joint commission will discuss Indo-Nepal relations with focus on connectivity, energy, freight, irrigation, flood management, among other things.
When asked about the developments in Kashmir, Gyawali said Nepal was optimistic that the situation would be settled smoothly.
