Singh, who will embark on his four-day visit on November 12, will be conferred the title by President Ram Baran Yadav at a special function, Nepal Army said in a statement.
He is visiting the country at the invitation of his Nepalese counterpart Gen Gaurav Shumsher Rana.
On the day of his arrival, Singh will lay a wreath on the Bir Smarak at Tundikhel following which he will call on CoAS Rana.
Singh will also visit Mustang-based army academy on November 14.
Nepal and India have an old tradition of conferring the title of the chief of the army staff by respective heads of the state.
After visiting Bhutan earlier this month, Singh's Nepal visit will take place amid the new Indian government's endeavour to strengthen ties with neighbouring countries.
