Netflix renews 'Atypical' for third season

Netflix has ordered a third season of the autism comedy "Atypical".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant has renewed the show, with Keir Gilchrist as lead, for 10 more episodes.

Written, created and executive produced by Robia Rashid, "Atypical" is a coming-of-age story from the point of view of Sam (Gilchrist), an 18-year-old on the autistic spectrum searching for love and independence.

The series is expected to return next year.

Season two premiered on September 7.
