The company had registered a net profit of Rs 18.9 crore in the same period a year ago, it said in a BSE filing.
Network18's income from operations for the first quarter of 2014-15 stood at Rs 699.74 crore, up 27.09% from Rs 550.58 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of Network18 Media and Investments today closed 3.30% higher at Rs 51.65 apiece on the BSE.
