"I am satisfied that CSC members have accommodated genuine wishes of the all the three regions of the state and justice has been done with all the deserving areas of state," state Congress chief Saif-Uddin Soz said here.
Terming it as "a victory for Congress", Soz appreciated Congress members in CSC and said the committee was constituted due to the efforts of Congress.
Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats Ali Mohammad Sagar termed the move as a historic decision, saying it would go a long way in accelerating the socio-economic development of the people.
He said creation of 177 blocks in the state would ensure that the rural areas are developed at a faster pace and rural economy gets a boost.
