Unlike other alien movies, "Pixels" features aliens in the form of 1980s arcade games characters, reported Ace Showbiz.
Humans are fighting against aliens invasion on Earth. "I believe that some alien life force send down real-life video games to attack us," someone says in voice-over.
Since the aliens are inspired by arcade games, video games expertise is needed. Fortunately, there are Pac-Man world champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Centipede master Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Donkey Kong king Eddie Plant (Peter Dinklage) teaming up in a battle with the aliens.
Directed by Chris Columbus, the movie is scheduled for a US release on July 24.
