He had served Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur as a Professor for over 17 years and had been the former Director of UGC National Center for Nano Science and Technology, University of Mumbai, a University release said here.
He was conferred with the Innovation award by the DST, Lockheed Martin, USA in the year 2009 for developing drug free polymer nano coated Cardio Vascular Stent.
