T Yoganand today assumed charge as the new Visakhapatnam Commissioner of Police.
The Commissioner said focus will remain on issues like tackling the rising cyber crimes, prevention and detection of crimes and traffic management here.
"I will take some time to understand the major issues here as I was new to city and serving first time in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh," Yoganand said.
"Vizag has emerged as capital of cyber crimes and the cyber crime police station has already been sanctioned. It now needs to be developed for speedy investigation of such crimes", said Yoganand, a 1998 batch IPS officer.
