Jain had visited the aggrieved family yesterday at their Janakpuri house to offer condolence, and assured the family of action against the guilty within 48 hours.
"I went to meet them to share their grief and pain. Firstly, the death of their daughter was major shock to the family, later the body of their baby was dumped inside a bio-waste truck which further intensified their pain," Jain said.
The Committee headed by S C L Das, Principal Secretary (Health) is expected to submit its report tonight.
The father of the child, Rajesh Gupta, said that they are not satisfied with the action taken by the hospital authorities.
"They have suspended those people who are changed almost every month and work on contract. Are the senior officials of the hospital management not responsible for the negligence? We are not satisfied with the hospital's action and demand a thorough enquiry into the matter," Gupta said confirming the Minister visited them and assured action.
A case under Section 297 of IPC has been registered at Janakpuri police station.
The body of the newborn girl was found inside a bio-waste truck at the hospital on January 6 at Mata Chanan Devi hospital.
The parents of the deceased girl have alleged that the lapse had occurred despite hospital authorities having taken money from them to keep the body in the mortuary.
The infant had died of complications on Monday at 2 A.M.
The body was to be kept at the hospital mortuary but was instead later discovered in the bio-waste truck.
