'ICGS Arnvesh' belongs to Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) class of ships and was constructed at Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Kochi.
The ship was inducted in Coast Guard on January 12 this year and will be commissioned at Visakhapatnam soon, the maritime security organisation said in a release.
On its arrival here, the vessel was received by senior CG Officials.
It is 50 metres long, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and has a complement of five officers and 33 crew.
Post commissioning, the ship, whose maximum speed is 33 knots, will play a vital role in strengthening security of Andhra Pradesh coast, the release said.
