A newly-married youth and his brother-in-law were killed while five others sustained injuries when their car rammed into a stationary truck on GT road here near Salem Tabri, police said on Thursday.
The deceased, who were identified as Rahul and his brother-in-law Raju, were residents of Bhattian village of the district, police added.
Additional DCP G S Sikand said Rahul got married on Wednesday morning and was among seven people who were returning home in a car after the wedding.
The accident took place around 11 pm on Wednesday night, he said.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where the condition of two of them was said to be critical, Sikand added.
