NHAI, a statutory body under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, had recorded a net loss of Rs 96.54 crore in the second half of 2014-15 fiscal.
Total expenses stood at Rs 137 crore in the second half of 2015-16 fiscal as against Rs 113.31 crore in the same period a year ago, it said in a BSE filing.
The audit of accounts of the Authority are carried by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) on an annual basis.
It further said figures for 2015-16 fiscal are under compilation.
