Singer Nick Jonas' father has accused pop star Katy Perry of stealing the idea for her "Rise" music video from singer Olivia Somerlyn's "Parachute".
Jonas Sr, who is Somerlyn's manager, says Rise, which is Perry's 2016 Rio Olympics anthem, is similar to the music video of "Parachute, reported Aceshowbiz.
He posted on Twitter a side-by side comparison of the two music videos. "Love @katyperry new song but the video for #Rise is identical to @oliviasomerlyn #Parachute," he captioned it.
In the stills taken from both Perry's "Rise" and Somerlyn's "Parachute", the two singers are seen with pink parachutes.
In some scenes, Somerlyn is seen dragging the parachute behind just like Katy does in her music video.
In "Rise" music video, Perry is seen struggling with her parachute in a rocky cliff. "Parachute", meanwhile, sees Somerlyn is smiling while dancing and posing with her parachute in the desert.
"Parachute" was released in 2014 with Nick both co-writing and producing the track.
