Traders said sentiment in nickel remained weak after it retreated in global markets as industrial production in China, the world's biggest consumer, grew slower than forecast.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months slid 0.7 per cent to USD 14,250 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) remained under selling and shed another Rs 5 to Rs 1,046-1,051 per kg.
