Latin pop star Nicky Jam is breaking into acting in a big way with a role in the upcoming "xXx" sequel, which also stars Indian actress Deepika Padukone.
The El Perdon singer is adding acting to his resume with "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage featuring Vin Diesel, who starred in the original xXx release in 2002.
Jam took to Instagram to announce the exciting news to his fans, writing, "This is a dream come true. Thank you God and thank you to all my people for bringing me here thank you @vindiesel for the opportunity."
It is unclear what his role will be, but filming in Canada and the Dominican Republic will soon be underway.
The singer joins Miss Universe runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez, who has been cast as Diesel's love interest, as well as Samuel L Jackson, Nina Dobrev, Ice Cube and Toni Collette in the new film.
"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage", directed by D J Caruso, is due to hit cinemas in January, 2017.
