This special drive has been launched to check children's homes in Delhi for matching their records with the available data of missing/kidnapped children and has been named as Operation Milap.
"Several teams have been constituted in Crime Branch for linking such children staying in Children's Homes. Recently, we have reunited nine more children. So far, total 44 children have been rescued within a short span of three weeks since the launch of the operation," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
Further, local police of all districts of Delhi are being asked to screen and document all the children residing in shelter homes, railway platforms, bus stands, roads, religious places, etc. Their photographs are being taken by the concerned police officials and documentation will be undertaken to link them properly.
