Nissan sales jump 23% in December

Company had sold 2,561 vehicles in the year-ago period

Japanese car maker Nissan today reported a 23.3% jump in sales at 3,158 units in India for the month of December 2014.

The company had sold 2,561 vehicles in the year-ago period, Nissan Motor India said in a statement.

For the ongoing fiscal, the company said its sales stood at 35,047 units as against 24,095 units in the same period last fiscal, up 45.5%.

Nissan sells various models in India, including hatchback Micra, Sunny sedan, premium SUV Terrano, among others.
