Launching the 'Common Service Centres' run by the Vasudha centres, he said the Centre should provide financial assistance to states to run the common service centres in those states where the RTPS is in force, so that people can easily get public utility services.

The Centre should also provide subsidy for setting up Vasudha centres to popularise the RTPS among the masses, Kumar said, adding the the state governments too will chip in with financial support to such centres.

The Central subsidy should be made available for up to 10 years to those people or agencies running the Vasudha centres, which provide utility services to the people at low cost, the Chief Minister said.

He said the state government has proposed to set up Vasudha centres at all panchayats to enable the people to get 52 utility services at their doorsteps.

Describing e-Governance as the way to root out corruption from public service, he said the IT driven governance will improve the quality of life of people by making the delivery system more transparent.

Kumar said an e-Tracking software is being used for disposal of public grievances about services and those people coming to his 'Janata Durbar' have been told about the status of their complaints.

He said in future the state government had plans to link e-Governance through mobile phones to apprise people about delivery of utility services in the remotest villages.
