Nitish govt enacts major adminstrative reshuffle of IAS

Bihar government today effected a major reshuffle of 25 IAS officers changing many District Magistrates including that of Saran, Khagaria and Nawada which were in news recebntly for different reasons.
Along with the IAS officers, four state administrative service officials were also transferred, according to a notification of General Administration department.
District Magistrate of Saran Abhijit Sinha has been moved to Aurangabad in the same capacity. His place in Saran, which was in news recently for death of 23 children due to eating of poisonous midday meal, has been taken by Vandana Preysi, presently director ICDS (Integrated Community Development Scheme), according to the notification.

DM Nawada Adhesh Titarmare has been replaced by Lallan Jee, presently working as Revenue officer in Bihar State Housing Board. Nawada had witnessed communal violence recently.
DM Khagaria Sayyed Parvez Alam has been changed by Sanjay Kumar Singh working as DM Sheikhpura. Khagaria had recently witnessed mowing down of 28 devotees by Saharsa-Patna Rajya Rani express following which an angry mob burnt many bogies of two trains.
Besides, transfers, Secretary Revenue and Land Development department has been given additional charge of Registrar Cooperatives.
H R Srinivas waiting for posting has been made Special Secretary in Education department.
