Rs 9.35 lakh looted at gunpoint in Ghaziabad

An employee of a private agency was allegedly robbed of Rs 9.35 lakh at gunpoint by two bike-borne armed assailants in Indirapuram area here today, police said.
The incident took place this afternoon when Harkesh (23), who works in Writer Safeguard agency, was going to deposit the money in a private bank in Noida Sector-62, they said.
The victim, who was also on a motorbike, was waylaid by the assailants near Kala Pather underpass, who looted the booty at gunpoint and fled from the spot.
A case has been registered in this regard, police added.
