No CBI raid in Shimla Doordarshan: DDG Doordarshan

"There were no CBI raids in Shimla Doordarshan on June 10 as reported in section of media and all allegations regarding irregularities, bribe and claiming false bills are baseless," Deputy Director General (DDG) Doordarshan said here today.
"It was a surprise inspection by CBI team in which officials of Prasar Bharti were also involved and reports regarding sealing of office, seizing the hard disc of computers and restriction on movements of officers and employees, appearing in the media were also not based on facts and there was no disruption in DD office which functioned normally on June 10," he said.

Referring to the allegations appearing in the media, he said that all payments to artists and other employees are transferred directly into the bank accounts through RTGS and as such the question of making bogus payments did not arise.
