Stating that the fight between BJP and AAP appears to be neck to neck in Delhi Assembly polls, an SAD MP Prem Singh Chandumajra today said he does not see clear majority for any party in the high-stake elections.
"The electoral battle (between BJP and AAP) appears to be neck to neck and the exit poll results are also indicating the same. I do not see clear majority for any (political) party, the kind of situation we have in Delhi," Chandumajra told reporters here today at PGIMER campus.
Responding to queries that exit polls gave an edge to AAP, the SAD (Badal) General Secretary said the party was a temporary phenomenon.
SAD has contested the Delhi Assembly elections in alliance with BJP in four seats.
While Manjinder Singh Sirsa contested on SAD symbol from Rajouri Garden constituency, Harmeet Singh Kalka (Kalkaji), Jitender Pal Singh Shanty (Shahdara) and Avtar Singh Hit (Harinagar) contested on BJP's symbol.
Asked about the performance of SAD candidates, Chandumajra said Sirsa and Shanty would surely win.
"But there is a fight on two other seats - Kalkaji and Harinagar," he said.
In the last Assembly polls in Delhi, two candidates fought on Akali Dal symbol and two on BJP symbol.
Asked about party's preparations for upcoming civic body elections in the state, Chandumajra said the party was ready with the Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections this month.
"We have already made seat arrangement with BJP on 80 per cent of seats and rest of them will be done in a day or two," he said.
