No clear majority for any party in Kolhapur Zilla Parishad

Congress and BJP today won 14 seats each in the election to Kolhapur Zilla Parishad (ZP), where no party got a clear majority.
Elections were held for a total of 67 ZP seats on February 21 and counting of votes took place today.
Congress and BJP emerged on the top bagging 14 seats each and they were followed by Nationalist Congress Party (11), Shiv Sena (10), Janasurajya Party (6) and Swabhimani Shetakari Sanghatana (2).
Among local alliances, Tararani won 3, Yuvak Kranti Aaghadi 2, Kolhapur Tararani Vikas Aaghadi 2 and Independent 1.
