"I don't want to fall in that (controversy). We believe in working rather than giving names (to projects)," Shinde, the public works department (PWD) minister, said asked for his reaction on the row sparked by Kapoor.
Speaking on the sidelines of an event here, he said the government (in which Shiv Sena is a partner) has taken up various projects for the benefit of the state and it will be its endeavour to complete them at the earliest.
"We must name important assets of the country who have contributed to society. Har cheez Gandhi ke naam? (Why everything in the name of Gandhi?) I don't agree. Sochna log! (Think people!) ," tweeted the "Kapoor & Sons" star.
"Change Gandhi family assets named by Congress. Bandra/Worli Sea Link to Lata Mangeshkar or JRD Tata Link road. Baap ka maal samajh rakha tha," Kapoor tweeted on Tuesday night.
