The CPI today said neither Congress nor BJP but a third alternative would catapult to power after the next Lok Sabha elections, although it would not be a stable government.
"Neither Rahul Gandhi nor Narendra Modi would come to power. Their dreams would never come true. We feel an alternative would come to power although it might not be a stable government," CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta said, while addressing a rally here.
Dasgupta lashed out at neo-liberal policies pursued by the Congress-led UPA regime and termed them as economic terrorism.
"The policies they have pursued are equivalent to economic terrorism. Corruption is increasing every day. The Prime Minister is singularly responsible for it," Dasgupta said.
CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy advocated a shift in policies, than a mere change of party at the Centre.
"Both the Congress and the BJP pursue neo-liberal policies. We need to change those anti-people policies than a mere change of a party at the Centre," Reddy said.
Lashing out at Narendra Modi for his "silence" against "corporates who are looting the country", he said "everyday Modi makes a statement against Congress, but when it comes to corporates, he doesn't speak a word on them.
