Two days after the murder, police have neither identified the accused nor found out the motive behind the murder of Simranjeet Kaur.
According to police sources, although the assailant was seen in the footage of a CCTV camera installed in the street, his face is not clear. The video has been sent to experts so that a clear picture can be extracted from it.
Police had shown the footage to Kaur's family and friends also, but nobody could identify the assailant.
Police are questioning her neighbours and members of a gym she used to visit every evening after office.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility of involvement of any of the victim's family members, adding that her husband is also under scanner. He was the last person to speak to her over phone, a police officer said, adding that further investigations were underway.
On February 14 at around 6.15 pm, Kaur boarded a metro from Noida to visit her aunt's place. Her cousin had given birth to a baby and he had told her aunt about her coming to give a surprise.
A CCTV installed in the street shows a scooter first coming into the frame and then taking a u turn. Then Kaur passing and a suspect following her. The actual stalking takes place out of the camera's frame but people running to save her after she is stabbed is recorded in the CCTV.
Kaur had married around two years ago and was reportedly pregnant. Her husband too works in Noida in an MNC. They lived in Nanakpura area.
