No let up in heat wave in Raj, Churu simmers at 44.5 deg C

Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jaipur recorded day temperatures of 42, 41.9 and 40.8 degrees Celsius respectively, while other districts simmered at temperatures between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, the MeT department here said.

Churu remained the hottest in the state, followed by SriGanganagar at 44.1 degrees Celsius.

However, light rains drenched isolated areas in Udaipur, Kota and Jodhpur divisions.

The MeT office has predicted light rains in isolated areas of the state in the next 24 hours.
