Rapper Kanye West has banned girlfriend Kim Kardashian from major surgeries like liposuction after losing his mother Donda West due to complications from a cosmetic
The issue first came up for the couple when Kim was set to give birth to their daughter North West and planned to have a tummy tuck immediately afterwards, reported Radar Online.
"Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight. But he really flipped out," a source said.
"Kanye told Kim in no uncertain terms that she needed to put her baby and her life first. He got pretty emotional because he really didn't want her going through that kind of major surgery. He's still traumatized from his mom's death," the source added.

Donda died in 2007 at the age of 58 after suffering "multiple post-operative factors" following a liposuction and breast-reduction surgery.
