It has come to the notice of the lottery department that fraudulent e-mails, in the name of the bumper lottery schemes of Punjab, are being sent to people implying they have won first prize, an official spokesman of the department said.
No such e-mail was sent by the government, he said.
He clarified that the lottery schemes of Punjab are being run in an absolutely transparent manner and the people are informed regarding the bumper lottery schemes issued at various intervals through the media.
