The Hyderabad Police today said no permission has been granted for the proposed "Chalo High Court" programme tomorrow.
"Chalo High Court" was a call given by Federation of Bar Associations appealing to all advocates practising in various courts in the districts of Telangana and Hyderabad to proceed to High Court tomorrow.
"Necessary prohibitory orders have been imposed in the surroundings of High Court, banning taking out any processions, organising agitations etc," Hyderabad police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy was quoted as saying in a release.
"In view of the prevailing situation, as per the orders of the Registrar General of the High Court, only those practising advocates of High Court whose cases are listed in the cause list for June 13 shall be permitted to enter into the High Court premises," it added.
Necessary and adequate bandobust, security and traffic arrangements have been planned and organised in this regard, it said and warned of initiating action as per law in case of any violations.
Advocates and judicial employees across Telangana under the banner of Telangana Advocates' JAC, High Court Bar Association and others had launched a week-long protest since Monday last in the form of lunch-hour demonstrations outside courts protesting against the provisional allocation of judicial officers between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The JAC resolved to represent to the High Court to recall the provisional allocation list of judicial officers and to allocate the officers based on their nativity.
The Telangana advocates have also been demanding bifurcation of the existing Hyderabad High Court.
