Speaking to reporters here on the sidelines of a function organised by the Hind Samachar Group, Bajwa claimed Congress had not been defeated rather the ruling Akali Dal had won its seats "using muscle power".
"Who is asking for my resignation? I am not aware of it. Regarding the election results, Akali Dal won seats using muscle power," he alleged.
On August 25, Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Amarinder Singh had said Bajwa should resign from his post.
Earlier at the function, Bajwa said forcing Governors to resign was a "wrong precedent" being set by the BJP-led NDA government.
