"There will be no repoll tomorrow as my predecessor did not pass any notification. He said it orally and there is no written notification. We do not have the required time to make all the arrangements and notify the candidates," Bandyopadhyay told reporters here.
Asked whether counting in all three municipal bodies will be done on October 9, Bandopadhyay said he needed more time to examine the matter.
Bandyopadhyay, also the state's Principal secretary Transport department, joined today as the acting State Election Commissioner.
"My officers are looking at all points of view. I am not in a position to say anything now. I don't visualise any decision on that front without more detailed examination," he said.
