No respite from heat in Vidarbha

There was no respite for people from the scorching heat in Maharashtra's Vidarbha region today as the maximum temperature in most places hovered near 44 degrees Celsius.
Chandrapur was hottest in the region at 44.8 degrees Celsius followed by Nagpur at 44.6 degrees Celsius, as per the Regional Meteorology Centre here.
Akola recorded maximum temperature of 44.4 degrees Celsius, Amravati 43.6, Gondia 42.8, Washim 41, Wardha 44.2 and Yavatmal 43.6 degrees Celsius.
