In a BSE filing, the company said a major fire occurred last evening in one of the warehourses belonging to the Future Supply Chain Solutions Ltd, a subsidiary of the company situated at Jigni, Bangalore.
However, the fire was controlled in few hours, it said.
Besides, the inventory of the other customers of Future Supply Chain Solutions Ltd., the inventory of Future Retail were also damaged in the fire, it said."Since the quantum of the inventory of the company (Future Retail) was not significant, there would not be any impact on the operations of the company", it said.
Shares of the company ended at Rs 82.20 apiece, down by 0.84 per cent over previous close in BSE.
