No stopping BJP from winning power in Haryana: Birender Singh

Former Haryana Congress leader Ch Birender Singh today formally joined BJP along with his supporters in the presence of party president Amit Shah and pledged his all-out support to help the saffron outfit form the next government in the state.
Welcoming him into the BJP fold, Shah handed the party's membership slip to the Haryana leader. BJP general secretary JP Nadda, too, was present on the occasion.
Singh thanked Shah for giving him the opportunity to join BJP and said he will work to make the party a vibrant one in the state. Singh had earlier shared the stage with Shah at a rally in Haryana's Jind on August 16.

Singh, who quit Congress recently and his Rajya Sabha membership yesterday, today said that the winds of change in Haryana have started blowing in BJP's favour with the party having taken the initiative to change the face of politics in the state.
In an apparent dig at Haryana Janhit Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, who two days back broke his party's alliance with BJP, Singh said any number of alliances that smaller parties in Haryana may form to stop BJP from coming to power will not succeed as the people have made up their minds.
"As per my political experience, any alliances that smaller parties in Haryana may form to challenge BJP will not help stop the party from coming to power as the people of the state have already chosen their direction and BJP will come to power with two-thirds majority," he said.

Asked if he was willing to contest the upcoming Assembly polls even though he was defeated in the last state elections, Singh said, "It is for the party to decide", but added that he was "fit enough".
Lashing out at Congress, he said that the party has already been wiped out in Haryana and its government in the state led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, too, would be wiped out after the polls.
Singh said that the politics of regionalism and caste being played out in Haryana for the last 48 years would come to an end and he has joined BJP's endeavour to fight such politics.
