The authorities of M S Law College and Ravenshaw University here Monday decided that elections to form students union in their institutions would not be held this year.
Students union elections were not held in these institutions last year.
"In pursuance of the proceedings of joint meeting of Deans, HoDs, Coordinators and members of Students Election Monitoring Committee and Proctorial Board and recommendations thereof, the students union election 2018 of Ravenshaw University stands cancelled," said a notification issued by the University authorities.
Similarly, a notice published in the notice board of M S Law College on the day signed by Principal Dr Sushant K. Nanda said: "As per the decision of the Staff Council, there will be no election to the Students Council this year."
