"Noida Traffic Police and Gramin Vikas Utthan Samiti jointly launched a campaign through the thoughtful gesture of offering red roses to law-abiding commuters at the Sector 60 crossing," said SP (Traffic), RN Mishra.
"We also offered helmets free of cost to those riders who were not wearing helmets. A number of motorists were also challaned for not wearing helmets," he added.
Mishra added that a "total of 759 vehicles were challaned today and a fine of Rs 3,01,100 collected, which is the highest for a single day during the drive".
