Noomi Rapace to star opposite Will Smith

Actress Noomi Rapace is in talks to join Will Smith in the movie adaptation of Marcus Sakey's novel 'Brilliance'.
Legendary is producing the adaptation while Julius Onah is attached to direct the project from a script by David Koepp.
The story takes place in a world where a minority set of people are born with extraordinary abilities and are called "brilliants". A panic sets in among the human majority, bringing the world to a civil war, which is exactly what a section of people want, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Smith is playing a federal agent, a brilliant with great hunting gifts who is drafted to hunt down a terrorist, another such brilliant, played by Rapace, who intends to start the civil war.

Rapace first found fame by playing the tattooed hacker heroine Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish adaptation of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' movies.
