"I had to face no trouble because all my money is in the bank and payments are through cheques," the 51-year-old actor said.
Bollywood has been divided over the move but most of the celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwrya Rai have come out in its support, where as some have said that it is an inconvenience to the public.
"We (celebrities) are scared to say anything. Whatever we say it's taken in another direction," he said.
Aamir is in the village to attend Geeta Phogat's wedding. The actor is portraying the role of Geeta's wrestler father Mahavir Singh Phogat.
