Always wanted to dance like a panda, but did not know the moves? Welcome, then, to a comic festival that celebrates all that is quirky in today's world.
"Let's wander where the wi-fi is weak," said the message on a pair of sneakers on sale, setting the tone for a three- day comic conference that is more like a carnival than a meet.
While most visitors to the seventh Delhi Comic Con love all things "super", be it heroes or villains, the annual fete seems to have something in store for everyone.
Of course, the grounds are lined with shops for superhero action figures, pop culture posters and other merchandise, while young fans dressed as their favourite characters -- from Harry Potter and Jack Sparrow to Batman and the Joker -- walk among the visitors.
But it is also a casual shopper's or a Sunday merry- maker's delight.
With a sea of options that might seem like an unnecessary indulgence to a comic book enthusiast, the festival, which ends today, has a lot to offer visitors merely hoping to have a good time.
A stall sells t-shirts with quirky quotes on it such as "I run better than the government" and the sneakers taking potshots at people hooked on to the Net. There are trinkets on sale, along with wall art, designer bags and what not.
Sitting amidst dream catchers on sale at her booth, Mehak Kalra said she loved the festival's gala air.
"Coming to this place is a different experience altogether. There is so much to do here. Being a big fan of comics or cartoons should not be the only reason for you to visit this place," she told PTI.
Spread across the NSIC Grounds in Okhla, the Comic Con also offers piano shaped rugs, printed blankets, fancy stools, artistic tote bags and stationery products.
For those not so interested in shopping, there are other attractions.
With gaming and selfie booths, the place has its corners where only gamers and posers would tread.
And for those who would like to shake a leg, there is even a dance floor where one can imitate the steps of a panda.
"I have two left feet. However, seeing my friends dance, I couldn't resist. It was fun, and yes, the Panda was too cute," Meenakshi Khullar, a class 11th student, said.
And last, but not the least, the grounds are peppered with stalls serving piping hot food to satiate a visitor's taste buds.
As a t-shirt at the Comic Con read, "Seekh Kebab, not attention!".
