80-year-old, Shirodkar is survived by his son Rajendra who is also a criminal lawyer.
Shirodkar had appeared in many criminal cases including the 1992 multi-crore securities scam involving stock broker Harshad Mehta.
His funeral was attended by several prominent lawyers of the Bombay High Court.
Shirodkar had represented Sena in Rajya Sabha from 1995 to 2001. He was a prominent party leader and very close to Sena Supremo (late) Bal Thackeray.
Thackeray used to consult Shirodkar on legal matters and party's stand on various issues. He was one of the executers of the will left behind by Thackeray.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family, senior Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai said, "In the death of Shirodkar, the people and the party had lost an able leader and an efficient lawyer".
