Now, traders in south Delhi can get licenses online

Seeking to increase transparency in operation and reduce corruption, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation today launched the online facility for procuring licences for business and commercial activities, a move that will help several thousands of traders in the city.
South Delhi Mayor Subhash Arya said, "the general trade license application has been simplified and made online which will benefit the traders and help in reducing corruption.
He said by implementation of this service citizen doing commercial/professional activities can get now trade license without coming to the municipal body.
"We have planned massive publicity drive to create awareness among the stakeholders regarding the new initiative," he said.
At the launch event, SDMC's Chairman Standing Committee Radhey Shyam Sharma said,"We have simplifying the license process.
Leader of House Ashish Sood said, "By a click of a mouse traders can get license for which they use to go to CSB centers and corporation offices."
"By this initiative, Inspector Raj in license will end. This will be applicable in both the cases, whether it will be for one year or three years trade/storage license and it will be non-refundable.
"Now after simplification the corporation will now issue license to general Traders by online method in the most simplified way."
SDMC Municipal Commissioner Puneet Kumar Goel on the occasion said,"under 'ease of doing business' we introduced this system.
In the new system, the registration and processing fee is proposed at Rs 1,100, payable through net banking/credit card/debit card by the applicant at the time of submission of online application and at Zonal CSB counters of SDMC through cash/demand draft in favour of the commissioner, SDMC before final submission of online application form before getting the license.
Licensing Committee Chairman Meenu Pawar said, "Provision of checking is there under which 100 per cent online verification of the documents and 10 per cent site/premise's verification randomly after issuance of the license can be done for which and Enforcement Cell shall be there in CL&EC (HQ) with an appropriate strength of the staff.
