A sequel to the hit film "Now You See Me" is in the making and will hit the theaters next year.
It is not yet announced whether original cast members including Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman and more will return for the follow-up, reported Aceshowbiz.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer announced that a follow-up to the summer sleeper hit started being developed at the studio after the success of the first film.
The Louis Leterrier-directed movie about magician heist, which cost USD 75 million to produce, has grossed USD 115.5 million domestically since its Memorial Day weekend debut and USD 117.6 million internationally.
Feltheimer expects it will earn a total of USD 275 million as soon as it opens in China, Australia and Japan.
Penned by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt, "Now You See Me" follows a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.
