Pawan, an IAS officer of 2003-batch, was removed as the Commissioner of Agriculture department and put under Awaiting Posting Orders APO)apo status by the government yesterday, was questioned by the ACB for several hours.
"The officer was questioned in connection with the case in which he is a strong suspect," IG ACB V K Singh said tonight.
He said that pawan was questioned till late hours, following which he was allowed to go, he said.
The ACB conducted raids at 18 premises of five persons including Neeraj K Pawan, one Ajeet Soni, two other officers and a storekeeper on Wednesday after an FIR was lodged against them with the ACB.
The ACB had also arrested Soni, Chief Accounts Officer Deepa Gupta and storekeeper Joji Varghese.
