The deceased was identified as Sunil Virmani (35), who had done MBA from Australia and settled in Dubai.
On January 27, he had come to attend the marriage of his friend being held at a hotel. He was staying in room number 1008 with another friend Nikunj and last night, a group of friends had a liquor party, police said.
Today evening, when Nikunj came to accompany Virmani for the marriage, he found him lying him on bed and thought he may be asleep. But when he touched the latter, he realised he was unconcious. Virmani was taken to Kailash hospital where he was declared brought dead.
"Though initial invetigations points to overdose of liquor as the possible cause of his death, we are investigating from all posible angles, including murder. We are questioning his friends and hotel staff," said Brijesh Kumar Singh, SP (Greater Noida).
