The first consignment was ceremonially flagged off from Numaligarh Refinery Marketing Terminal by Director(Technical) B J Phukan on June 3 last to Kharagpur in West Bengal, an official release said here today.
Dispatch of wax in liquid form would result in energy savings associated with its solidification at the refinery end and liquefaction of the same at the user's end.
Though dispatch of liquid wax in international trade is not uncommon, such efforts on the part of a domestic inland refinery is unique, the release said.
