The collaboration to boost energy training follows an MoU signed between the NSDC and Schneider Electric in October last year.
The two have already set up a centre of excellence in Bengaluru with focus on power, solar and automation. They have also put in place seven advanced renewable energy training centres in Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Delhi, Cuttack, Vishakhapatnam and Jaipur.
The state-of-the-art laboratories will be housed at Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK). The centre of excellence will put a premium on training of trainers, research and development and specialised corporate programmes.
