"A subsidiary company of NTPC Limited (NTPC) has been incorporated in the name 'Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited' on October 15, 2015 in joint venture with Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL)," the company said in a BSE filing.
The subsidiary has been incorporated to acquire, establish, operate, maintain, revive, refurbish, renovate and modernise the performing existing units and further capacity expansion of Patratu Thermal Power Station in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, it added.
NTPC shall hold 74 per cent of the equity share capital in Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited and balance 26 per cent shall be held by JBVNL, the company said.
