Protest over delay in launch of audio CD of "Vethalam"

Police lathicharged to disperse the fans of Tamil actor Ajit after they turned violent and pelted stones at vehicles protesting the delay over the launch of audio CD of his latet film "Vethalam" at Tiruparankunram road here today, police said.
There was scuffle between the fans who had gathered at the audio shop at Tiruparankunram road and the crowd spilled to the road causing traffic jam. Police said they had to resort to lathi charge as the fans got restless and blocked the road traffic leading to total chaos in the area.
A bus and lorry was damaged in the stone pelting.
